For a Fellow Traveller (looking in the mirror)

.

Don’t wait for circumstances to change,

or for a more favourable moment to arise,

to rest in the stillness of

your own Being.

.

Times of retreat and episodes of contemplation

 can deepen understanding

and reveal the richness of experience.

.

Yet, all that, sits within

the vast, boundless, edgeless,

centreless, dimensionless

Emptiness

that You already are.

There is a radical simplicity to realisation.

.

A craftsman uses his tools diligently

to fashion a chair

from the raw materials that are to hand.

When it is complete,

he puts down his tools

and simply sits in it.
