.
You and I have allowed magnificence to fade into the mundane.
We have reduced the mysteries of being, that vibrate with vitality
into a dull ordinariness that hardly registers.
We are weary of the world that leaves us forever wanting more.
No wonder we seek distractions!
.
We have become junkies for the next big experience,
the latest buzz, the must-have must-haves.
We are addicts of the compulsion to fill the void
with any stimulus that confirms to us that we exist,
and pulls our attention from the wonder of just Presence.
.
Stop! For just one moment.
Stand aside and look at all the busyness that never satisfies.
In the stopping, recognise, however fleetingly
that when you cease feeding endless desires,
nothing is missing and everything is already given.
.
Behind restless turmoil lies an ocean of peace.
Woven through the fog of mind chatter is profound silence.
Centred in the hurricane of compulsive reactivity is a haven of stillness.
This peace, silence and stillness is the expression of our true essence.
It answers all questions, for the need to know has vanished.
.
As one sinks into one’s true nature, the world is also transformed.
The random chaos and stubborn inertia that confuse and challenge us
are now the wonderful dance of creation, and your own steps find
their rhythm and pattern in a grand harmony, in which the seeming discords
only add depth to the richness of the unfolding symphony.
.
Be infused by its mysteries. Rejoice in its magnificence.
Wonder at its intrinsic wholeness and surrender to its overwhelming embrace.
For this, right here and right now, is Heaven,
the Pure-land, Shambalah, the Isle of Avalon
the Lands of the Blessed, Tir Na Nog. You have come Home.
