Yesterday, Walking Down Into Greenwich

The World sits where I used to have a head,

and when I point to my original face,

all I see is a nothingness so profound,

that even empty space is too solid and yet too full to describe it.

Full it is, with the entire creation in a sleight of hand

that would be worthy of a master magician.

.

Mind has replaced the organs of perception,

and the world appears

solid yet ephemeral,

permanent yet transient,

ISNESS has replaced I-NESS.

.

My headless body moves within the world,

apparently unconcerned that it has lost its navigator and director of operations.

An invisible yet perceptible warm glow permeates all that is seen,

inherently radiant at the root of perception,

like watery sunshine filtering through the early morning mist

drifting over the river.

.

With thanks to Douglas Harding for ‘The Headless Way’ and the power of pointing.
