Free from Time

.

What does it mean to be ‘Free from Time?’

.

Each moment is complete, in and of itself.

It is its own fulfilment.

There is nothing to be found outside it.

.

It is not the precursor to the next moment,

for the next moment never arrives.

One’s core has fallen into its own centre and stopped,

and the impulse to move away ceases,

or is seen for the distraction that it is.

It is to sit in the centre of stillness

while all moves around and is seen, just as it is.

.

Everything is there:

the highlights, the frustrations,

the despair and disappointments,

the simple joys and the ecstasy of the sublime.

Yet through it all is woven the peace of deep silence,

full, from subtlety to cacophony,

yet deep as a bottomless well with no returning echo.
