.
Experience. Phenomenal experiences.
What a wonderful conundrum!
The sheer richness and diversity
of the content of experience,
provides endless fascination,
capturing the attention,
through attraction and repulsion,
and leading one ever deeper
into the mire of worldly concerns,
where one loses the true sense
of who one is:
Instead, assuming the guise
of a persona presented
as one’s face to the world.
.
Yet it is the recognition
of the insubstantial and transient
nature of all experiences
that also points back
to the one constant
underlying all experience.
“Being” itself:
ever present,
unchanging,
transparent,
pristine and perfect,
untouched and untouchable.
The source.
One’s true nature.
The only reality.
Not a thing,
yet all things appear within it.
It cannot be described
or conceptualised
yet all concepts
ultimately point back to it.
Can it be said to exist,
though all existence
derives its essence from it?
.
Rooted in Being
one can turn
and face into the world,
knowing that whatever
storms disturb the surface
of awareness,
the hidden depths
are an endless resource of peace,
resilience and compassion,
and a clear perspective
on the unfolding,
that weaves you
into the dance
of creation
as origin, partner
and eternal witness.
