As Within, So Without

Sometimes it feels that, when I write

I’m listening to two voices.

Of course there is only one source for what emerges:

the mystery behind “I AM”.

.

Closer examination reveals two contexts.:

In Buddhist terms:

The Relative and the Absolute.

.

I write about the trials and tribulations

of the journey: the efforts and the choices made

to embody the revelation of the perfection of “now”,

navigating the day to day “realities” of

money, relationships, work, family, sickness and health,

circumstance and happenstance,

the realm of the individual in manifestation.

.

I also write about the implications

of realising emptiness

and the loss of a fixed identity,

of fulness and the responsibility

of being intimately one with all things,

the unfolding of Trust and the realisation of Flow

as the ultimate doer.

.

Are they two different realities?

The longing of the isolated self for Union

is not other than the beating heart of the Infinite,

extending out to the whole of the creation,

calling everything back home to itself.

.

A coin has two faces,

joined/separated by a narrow rim.

They cannot be pulled apart.

My life is walking the line

that sees both faces and integrates them

into an ever-new expression of wholeness.

.

It is a delicate balancing act,

allowing the outer to perfectly reflect the inner

so the face presented to the world ‘out-there’

is as honest an expression as possible

of the inner light of simplicity and unity.
